Yeah. That's a real sign. We saw this today by In and Out. Penelope did well on our day out today. She is really a great girl. She's been a little cranky but we seem to learn the tricks to calm her down. She loves flying and being swung back and forth.

So and Fresh and so clean.

Penelope has been an amazing baby for us. We've been able to go out shopping and run errands. Grandma and Great Grandma came out Sunday and took us to dinner. Penelope doesn't even bat an eye to loud noise. Even a loud place like Famous Dave's. Today we are going to take her out again. She seems to like the car rides.

She's also healing fine after her belly button cap fell off. Did I write about that yet? Her belly cap got pulled off a little and looked crazy under the scab. Poor Susan wanted to go to the hospital. After looking it up and showing it to Auntie Korey we agreed she was fine.

Momma is doing great as well. Still in pain but moving around the house better. If only we could convince her to take more naps.

These pictures were after her bath today. Happy little dinosaur.

First Bath

This year my mom came up with this crazy idea called a "Progressive Christmas Eve". It turned out nice. The family drove from house to house eating one course at each stop. Susan and I made a Salad and put out good bread and cheese. The family all came by to see our place and meet Penelope. We had a good time and were able to clean up in 10 minutes. Finished the night off at my parents house. We ate great Turkey and Ham. It was sad not having Britt or Brandon around. Hopefully next year we can all be together. Maybe we will get a holiday next year at our house. The next morning Susan opened some presents I got her and we had fun just being together as a new family. Drove over to my parents for breakfast. My mom has finally found her Christmas decoration balance. The house looked great and brekfast was awesome. They spolied us and made us feel loved. After that we braved the traffic to Orange to meet Great Grandma and some more of Susan's family. Once again Kathy made a great dinner and showered us with love. They spoiled us as well. We are so blessed to have the parents we do.

Christmas was great this year. I can't wait for all the rest. I am very thankful for all that has been done for us this past year. Without our family I don't know where we would be. I wake up everyday thankful to have a house and food for my family.

Two unfinished paintings for Penelope's room. The cradle was made by my dad for my sister. He sanded it down and made it all nice. I like hanging out in her room. She likes to be wide awake at around 3am. Doesn't cry just looks around. I'll hang out with her until she gets sleepy again. It's so amazing watching her. I've never seen anything like her. Just perfect and beautiful.

Penelope's room is coming along. Just a little more painting and a few embellishments. Susan's mom made the quilt and all things fabric on the crib and the window treatment. Amazing stuff. Penelope has been using the crib and seems pretty comfortable in it. Cute as a bug anyways.

Yesterday we drove out to Orange County or as Kathy calls it "Gods Country". It was our fist outing with Penelope. Before that we took her to her 5 day check up and everything was fine. She really is a great baby. The Lactation Nurse was very helpful with Susan and breastfeeding. Kaiser in general has been a great hospital for us.

Susan's mom made a wonderful pre-Christmas dinner. I told Susan when we got home how much I love dinners like that. I'm lucky to have married into a family of great cooks and hostess. Penelope got to meet Grandpa and Great Grandpa as well as some cousins and most importantly Doja. It was really nice to be able to go out and have Penelope be so well behaved this young. Grandpa looked so happy to see her. To see the smiles on Grandpa and Poppies face brings joy to Susan and I. She is a well loved baby.

Today we are going to see about taking her out and about today. Depending on how mom is feeling. She just got 16 staples pulled out yesterday! yikes.

We've only been home three days now and it feels amazing. The aunties came to visit and have been helping us out. Our friends Sandor and Charity also made a surprise appearance. Haven't seen them in a long time. It's nice to have these people here to see her. We are very loved by our friends and feel blessed to be surrounded by them.

Penelope has been doing great. I think we have been getting enough sleep. I still feel like a zombie and poor Susan and her staples. C-Sections are intense. She is so amazing at handling all this.

When we first went to the hospital I found a penny in the first room. Then when they moved her into the prep room I found another penny. After Penelope was born I found another penny by the room they were checking her in.

Susan heard once that ghost leave change behind. She believes it's my grandma.

Being parents feels great. I believe we are doing a pretty good job so far.
